I say “crock pot-ish” because there are steps that are done outside of the crock pot. We ate this tonight, and is was pretty good! This serves about 5 generously, with not much for left overs, so you could always double the recipe.
1 bag of tortellini
1 jar marinara sauce
1 cn diced tomatos
1/2 # ground turkey
dash of sugar to “cut” the tartness of the tomato sauce
Fresh herbs to flavor as much as you like
Cheese to top (optional)
Pour marinara and tomatoes in crock pot on low. Cook turkey till pink is gone, then add to crock pot. Cook on low for 6 hours. When there’s about 30 minutes left, cook the tortellini according to directions on the bag; then put in the crock pot for about 15 min. Top with cheese if you want!
